The longer I go, simply putting one foot in front of the other and choosing to make that next right choice, the better it gets, in general. The easier it is to resist those intermittent urges to just drink away the pain. The more capable I am of handling those negative anxieties and seemingly insurmountable frustrations that crop up here and there throughout a given day.
The further away the old, dark things of the past get, the more real and substantial the new, good things seem, and the better grip I seem to have on the tools and methods I’ve been using to craft them.
We are creators, all of us, perpetually investing our efforts in the realization of hopes and dreams, and the longer we spend on a given course, the further along we get on it. It’s never too late to begin investing in the right thing.
