I feel like it is basically a very healthy thing to do to practice reflection on the exact amount of blessedness (which is large) inherent in being able to live a life where I can drive around an economically solid American metropolis in my own personal car, while I deliberate on just exactly what I would most enjoy eating for dinner, and whether or not I should leave room for dessert. Not everybody in the world gets to do this. In fact, most people don’t. Throughout the day, as I enter upon various moments of emotional discomfort, I find it beneficial to consider just how much of a drama queen I am being when I complain to myself about the various things that cause me irritation.
